A familiar world, rebuilt with care
Pockie Pirate World is an independent fan project rebuilding Pockie Pirates for the browser.
Why this project exists
The appeal of Pockie Pirates was the way its pieces came together: a new recruit changed a formation, a stronger crew opened another fight, and another destination gave the adventure a direction. Rebuilding that experience takes more than putting a familiar logo above a modern menu. The project is working toward a connected game people can understand and play.
We are the independent team behind this reconstruction. This site represents our own project and our own development updates. It does not speak for the people or companies behind the original game. The work is presented openly as a fan revival, with its current limitations visible.
What guides the rebuild
Preserved client material, game data and historical mechanics evidence provide the starting point. Where a rule or a piece of art is recovered, it is kept distinct from something recreated or newly authored. Where details are missing, the gap remains part of the record. A guess should not become an original mechanic simply because it makes a window easier to finish.
The same care applies to character identity and progression. A familiar figure in a preview is not proof of an available recruit, and a task description is not proof of a working quest. We are connecting those pieces through normal player routes and testing the result, including what an account remembers after returning.
What has taken shape
The project has reconstructed substantial behaviour across crew, combat, navigation, activities and character development. Character actions and effects are appearing in the battle renderer, while the private test server is used for recorded journeys through parts of the adventure. The progress board gives the current measurements instead of fixing changing totals in this story.
The first major delivery target reaches Alabasta, with the broader original game remaining the longer-term direction. There is no beta date or public access announcement yet. Explore the mechanics guide, watch the development trailer, or read our own updates to follow what is being built next.
