A pirate crew sails toward a sunlit island harbor in Pockie Pirate World.

Crew and Tavern

Recruit companions, learn what makes each form different, and choose the crew you take into battle.

Being finished

A crew with its own identity

The tavern connects recruitment to the rest of your adventure. A recruit is more than a picture in a collection: its form, skills and growth matter when you decide who belongs in the formation. The rebuild keeps character identity separate from the instance that belongs to a player, so a familiar portrait does not erase a different form or its place in progression.

That distinction also matters when showing enemies. An opponent may share artwork with a possible recruit without sharing its statistics or recruitment route. We are using preserved game data and client behaviour to keep those relationships clear, rather than treating every character shown in a gallery as someone a player can immediately obtain.

What is taking shape

The measured tavern work includes selecting an entitled recruitment room, revealing and turning over an offered hand, and hiring an offered companion into the account. Creating the ordinary paid hand still has unfinished work. These checks describe development behaviour; they do not turn every character in the source data into an available tavern recruit.

The broader crew journey includes viewing statistics, reading skills and developing an owned character. Those activities have different screens and purposes. Preserving their differences helps a player understand what a choice changes before spending a resource, instead of reducing every part of crew growth to the same generic panel.

What still needs proving

The measured tavern work is not complete, and recruitment availability must follow evidence rather than guesses. A character appearing in a development screenshot does not prove it can be earned through normal play. We still need the full journey from the right unlock to recruitment, formation changes and later account visits to behave consistently.
