Daily Tasks

Give each return visit a direction through repeatable objectives, progress tracking and clearly presented rewards.

Early

A reason to check the task list

Daily tasks help organise a play session around repeatable objectives. They sit alongside the main quest journey rather than replacing it, giving a player another way to understand what to do next. Rebuilding them means connecting the task shown in a window to the action that actually advances it.

The distinction between showing progress and granting a reward matters. A task list can look complete while its objective listener or reward flow is still wrong. The reconstruction therefore treats those steps as behaviours to prove, rather than assuming that a recovered description is enough to make a daily activity playable.

What is taking shape

Daily tasks are a measured area with implemented work and a substantial unfinished portion. The work includes the interface flow around actions and their results, with separate evidence for specific checks. Development progress is counted from that measured inventory, not from the number of task names recovered from the old client.

A reliable task flow must also respect the player’s choice. An action that requires a decision should make that decision clear, and the result should update the relevant task and resource information. A failed or delayed response should not leave the player guessing whether the task advanced or whether an action needs to be repeated.

What remains before a full routine

We still need the connected routine to work through normal play: find an available task, perform the right action, see the objective update and collect the valid result. Repeat visits and the boundaries between play sessions need their own proof. Passing a narrow component check cannot stand in for that whole routine.

For the longer progression path, see quests and story. For a quieter activity that may fit into a visit, see fishing and cooking. The progress board shows the current measured daily-task status and links to the method used to calculate it.
