Shell

Keep the Shell system visible in the rebuild, with its own measured behaviour and remaining play-test work.

Being finished

Keeping a smaller system visible

Shell is one of the original game systems included in the reconstruction. It can be easy for a smaller activity to disappear behind the headline crew and battle work, so it has its own place in the feature guide and progress board. That visibility does not require pretending every detailed rule has already been resolved.

This page is an introduction to the reconstruction, rather than a strategy recipe. We are deliberately not supplying speculative costs, odds, unlock levels or reward tables. Those details need to come from the relevant preserved evidence and be connected to working behaviour before they become advice a player can rely on.

What has been measured

Shells connect to equipment through sockets. The measured work includes inserting a shell, applying its modifiers in owned combat, removing a shell and handling its return, and synthesising shells, including a batch operation. These interactions explain why Shell belongs beside equipment development while retaining a separate inventory and progress badge.

A small system still needs the complete player loop. The account should be able to reach it through the appropriate route, make a valid choice, understand the result and see that result retained afterward. Showing a menu entry is useful integration, but it does not prove every action behind that entry.

What remains to be checked

The unfinished portion and the need for ordinary play tests remain part of the current status. We will describe specific behaviour more precisely as its sources and player route are established. Until then, a short honest overview is more useful than an invented guide that might send a returning player looking for a rule the rebuild cannot substantiate.

Use the feature guide to compare Shell with the larger activities, or go directly to daily tasks and fishing and cooking. The progress board shows current work, and the method page explains why measured implementation still carries testing qualifications.
